Iffy Acoustics
The big booming bass was loved by whoever was running the board, resulting in vocals that were very muddy, much to the disappointment of several friends who commented on the rather poor acoustics. Going after BIG sound instead of quality sound was evident, drowning out Gia Margaret's voice in the semi-outdoor venue. It's unfortunate that some people were more interested in conversation and shouting over the music at each other, despite the crowd being pretty good. The pre-show cookout was a nice idea, yet Gia Margaret's performance seemed a bit short with two opening acts. Less would have been more in this case, as the tickets were not very expensive. Perhaps that's the problem - people that pay more for a concert go for the concert, while I was with a larger party and keeping quiet about it.
